Our Origin Story

Hello there! My name is Jason Kramer, I’m the head coach and founder of Hero Physiques. I’ve been a Certified Personal Trainer since 2007. I created Hero Physiques as a way to blend my love for comics, superheroes, video games, anime, etc. with my passion and knowledge for fitness. Even though fitness is a huge part of my life now, it certainly wasn’t always that way.

My own fitness journey started when I was a teen. I was actually a skinny, nerdy, weak, non athletic kid. I had pretty low self esteem and confidence. I always looked at superheroes (especially Spider-Man) and thought to myself “If only I could look like that…” so I started working out when I was 18, and fitness became my way of improving my confidence, but it wasn’t an easy journey.

It seemed like I tried every program, every fad diet, every fitness challenge but never really saw the results I thought I should. There was so much information out there, and much of it conflicting. Sound familiar? This frustration and confusion is what led me to become a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM back in 2007.

Since then I have continued learning and researching from every science and evidence based source I could find. This knowledge has helped me critically evaluate new fitness/nutrition information and trends, in order to figure out what really works and why.

With well over a decade of experience now, I have worked with clients from all walks of life. I have trained individuals to improve their performance to pass physical preparedness tests for both Law Enforcement and Fire Fighter exams, helped Hollywood Stunt doubles to transform their physiques and prepare for the physicality of roles, I’ve worked with active and retired military, athletes, doctors, nurses, office workers, business professionals, as well as helping countless people lose body fat/get in shape for weddings, upcoming vacations, photo shoots, and just because.

So whether you are a super nerd like me, a cosplayer, gamer, or just a person wanting some serious results, and you are ready to take your goals seriously, whether that be to build muscle, increase your strength, improve performance, and/or lose body fat, and learn how to keep the fat OFF without overly restrictive diets (yes, you can eat foods you enjoy) then you have come to the right place my friend.
